Chicago turned out to be a good trip. I was able to get 12 hours of sleep on Saturday night that totally set me right. The game was good and we had a good day together in Wrigleyville shopping for souveniers. Fun!!! Mostly, it was good because Dax and I decided that the rowing thing is dictating my life in ways that I don't want it to ... and I need to throw in the towel. Work, weight gain, time away from the dog and the hubby, feeling tired all of the time, and enjoying it but not loving it, and having the drama with the older ladies has made for me leaving not that tough of a decision. I just don't like to quit things that I start... so that was the hard part for me, and I like hanging out with the girls all of the time.... that made it hard. But, once I decided to let go... I have had a sense of relief that is WONDERFUL. I really have enjoyed the experience though, and would like to pick up the sport when I might be in a better place to really entertain training for it. So, now it is ... getting a Golds membership and shedding some lbs. that I have gained. I have been rocking it today with the eating well and drinking tons of water. I feel like I am flushing out the bad stuff and moving on. Good times.
